Finally getting around to trying to start for the first time and seems I'm stuck.

Tooth Log if that helps. I wasn't able to upload the tune file.

Using the timing light while turning the engine over with no fuel, I can see the mark is in 3 places BTDC and doesn't stay in one place like it should.

I didn't actually measure the 1st tooth angle because I got the number from another member who successfully has their engine running.

But I may just take the covers off to verify, but I really doubt they could be different since the crank and trigger wheel are keyed to each other.

Maybe the crank sensor isn't working?

Observations:

For shits and giggles I tried giving it some either but got a backfire out the throttle bodies.

I'm using a big car battery with jumper cables to turn it over, so I'm not sure if its cranking at full speed since the Tooth Log is kind of all over the place. But I can count 22 bars between what I think is the missing tooth each time.

Whenever I open the throttle, it struggles to turn over if at all, but with them closed, it seems to turn over faster.

KTM 1290 engine, v twin, 75 deg odd fire

Trigger wheel: 24-2

1st tooth angle: 225 deg

as i went back to bed, i realized i didn't do anything with the shield for the twisted pair for the crank sensor.so i'm guessing i need to ground one end.do you guys suggest grounding to power ground or signal ground?do you stuff it all in one pin? noticed i don't have any extra ground pins on the MS3Pro Mini.can i use a injector output and pin into that?this was a good tutorial on how to splice it:[url=https://www.ptmotorsport.com.au/how-and]https://www.ptmotorsport.com.au/how-and ... 8SZ_qq8jd2

just to close this out, seems i'm an idiot and was using speed density vice alpha-n.

i knew i had ITBs, but thought maybe there would be enough vacuum from the lines downstream of the ITB butterflys.

it would only drop a few kPA at idle (around 90), reading around it should be around 50 kPA.

so i swapped over to alpha-n and got it started and idling lean at the start, but was able to adjust the VE table to get it around 14 AFR at idle.

so i learned something, always learning something.

now to learn how to actually tune!!
