Hello, i wanted to know how are you going to add a 2 IAT to the turbo and supercharged engines, how do you connect it so the ECU can also account for that information, how do you reprogram the ECU so it accepts that? do you cut the OEM IAT wire and make a connection with the new IAT to the same cables? or how do you do that the hardware and the software version of it.

Thank you

In a standalone ECU the IAT sensor can be mounted where ever you wish. Normally I add this pre throttle body in the intercooler plumbing. With a factory ECU the IAT is normally contained in the MAF sensor but due to the operation of the MAF sensor it's not essential to have the IAT sensor measure the actual charge temperature. It's still beneficial to have an IAT sensor post intercooler for compensation of aspects such as target AFR and ignition but this is normally accomplished with a second IAT sensor. What you can do will depend on your ECU.
