Where does the Constant (1728) come from ?
What does this figure relate to ?
This constant simply translates the value from cubic inches to cubic feet. It's necessary as we calculate our engine capacity in cubic inches but to keep the numbers manageable we normally discuss airflow in cubic feet per minute (CFM).
