Hello,
have recently installed a supercharger with new injectors on a gen 3
idle is currently sitting at 1200rpm, is this normal for a 2.3l supercharger? going up from 800 when NA
any pointers on which idle/spark tables I should adjust? first time playing with idle controls
Mechanical or electronic throttle body? If the former, adjustment should allow the butterfly to be closed more, if the latter, have you calibrated it and tried closing it more?
If you've done what you can with the TB, then I expect you've a vacuum leak, which is not uncommon as it's quite easy to damage a gasket/seal or forget a vacuum line/plug that will supply the air to keep the idle speed up. You may have even cut a line by accident.
Less uncommon is a faulty brake booster/servo'
Hi Gord,
Thanks for the reply. it is a mechanical throttle body. the throttle seems to be aligned fairly well however i will inspect it again to make sure, the brake booster should not have any leaks on it as it were firmly places with new hosing. i will check for any vacuum leaks
i feel like it may be a software thing, as the idle jumps up to 1800 momentarily then it drops to 1300ish however after driving for a little and pulling to a stop it goes down to 1000 and holds there for a while
are there any specific tables i should look at
