Navigating M1 Tune
02.28
00:00 | So we can start getting familiar with M1 Tune, let’s take a quick tour now and see how we can navigate through the workbooks and worksheets. |
00:09 | If we click here, we can see all the available workbooks. |
00:13 | At the top we have any custom workbooks we may have created. |
00:18 | Below this we will have the preconfigured workbooks for the particular package we are using. |
00:23 | In this instance we are using the GPA M150 package and you can see the workbooks displayed to help us with the tuning and configuration of the ECU. |
00:35 | If we click on the ‘Initial Setup’ workbook, you can see the tabs or worksheets displayed across the top of the screen. |
00:43 | We can click on any of these worksheets to display it or you can use the “Control’ key along with the number of the worksheet you want to display. |
00:52 | For example ‘Control’ and the ‘two’ key will take us to the ‘Ref/Sync’ worksheet. |
00:58 | You can see that the tabs for these worksheets are green and this indicates that they are package specific pre configured worksheets. |
01:06 | If we want to create custom worksheets, these tabs will be grey. |
01:12 | Within each of the worksheets, you will find a number of components to let you view channel values, make calibration changes, view help information or display a live time graph. |
01:23 | Since there is a lot of information to display, we may want to focus and zoom in on a particular component. |
01:31 | We can do this by clicking on the component we are interested in first. |
01:35 | You can see any time we do this, the component will be highlighted in orange. |
01:41 | Once we have highlighted the component, we have a couple of options. |
01:45 | Pressing ‘F6’ will full screen the component we are focussed on and pressing ‘F6’ again will return to the normal view. |
01:54 | If we are viewing a worksheet with a calibration component such as the Engine Efficiency table, the component will normally display the table in graphical and numeric form. |
02:05 | Pressing ‘F6’ will full screen the component, but we also have the choice of using the ‘G’ key to toggle between table and graph, just table, and just graph views. |
02:19 | These are common tasks you will perform every time you are using Tune so it is worth spending some time becoming familiar with them. |
