Hi,

I followed the whole EFI Fundamentals + some webinars about knoc and understood what it is, and how to detect it.

However, when time has come to configure my ECU, I need your help.

My car is a Honda S2000 2.0 supercharged (rotrex at max 10psi at redline).

My ECU is a Doctronic ProEcu-S2K. I think we can say it is not a real standalone, as it is based on a K series Honde ECU which is modified with Doctronic's software and features.

All I have to configure knock is:

- 1 "enable knock" check box

- 1 "full knock control" check box

- 1 "flash MIL on knock" check box

- 1 3D table for "knock threshold" (in the Doctronic Basemap, values inside the table are from 0.49 to 5.00: what is the unit of this table ?)

- 1 3D table for "knock limit" (in basemap, values from -15.1 to 59.9: what is the unit)

- 1 3D table for "knock retard" (in basemap, 14.1 retard below 2000 rpm, and then 12 degree)

Could someone give me some explainations on how to setup correctly these tables ?

I suppose that I can't rely on the basemap: as I supercharger my engine, mayve the normal engine "sound" has changed and this should be setup differently ?

Thanks a lot.

OK, new elements here.

From what I read on the Hondata Help, it seems that my Doctronic functions quite the same way than Hondata, which is logical as it is a K-series ECU.

Hondata explains that the knock control strategy of Honda oem ECUs is quite special, and is mainly dedicated to preventing knock related to fuel octane. If i understood correctly, the consequence is a quite slow and limited action of the knock control system.

Is there a way I can setup this so that it can be usefull for my engine safety ? or is it completely useless if I always use the same fuel ?

Generalmente respondemos dentro de las 12 horas (a menudo antes)
