Hello,
I was wondering if there's a recomended adapter. I'm sorry if this has been covered in the course but i have't reached so for yet. Im just looking to buy a cable for obd readouts. But if possible i'd like to have a cable capable of reflashes in the future.

What platform? Or do you just want a general tool to use? For general use I like OBD Wiz https://www.scantool.net/obdwiz/ . But if you have a Volkswagen product for example you might get VAG-COM http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/product.html
@arghx7 Im not talking about a scantool, im talking about the adapter itself. The usb to obd cable. Do all cables work for flashing or is there a special one required?
General rule of thumb is that you want to get a cable that's specifically supported by the software you are using to rule out any driver issues. So pick the software and then get whatever hardware (cable etc) that they recommend for compatibility. Otherwise you can run into problems with not recognizing the hardware or getting slow performance from it.
