Looking to finally break away from a AEM FIC and gets serious with a infinity system. Both boomslang and aem mentioned grinding off 2 of the 3 cam tone teeth on each cam in order for this system to work. Is that true or is there a way around that. I’d like to be able to keep the 508 if I sell the car but if I mess with the cams the only way the car will ever run is on the infinity unless I swap and the cams which isn’t a fun job on these engines. Or does anybody have any experience with other stand alone systems that won’t require this modification and can support flex fuel and vvt tuning? Thank you in advance.
Hello unfortunately it is the only way with this ECU, my suggestion would be to use a Link Motec or Haltech ECU that don't have this software limitation
