Hi everyone from the HPA forum! As we learned from the courses, it showed how to find and define a file on winols of a bosch ecu and I gained the knowledge of utilizing HEX,2D and 3D views to find them. However there are two problems that bother me for a long time, which are:

1.If I get a ecu file from another brand, such as Denso, Delphi, If it's possible to convert the knowledge and experiences from Bosch ecu? Will the shapes of the views be still similar?

2.The factor and offset values are confusing me the most. I know the theory of how it works, but what if we remap the other cars? The particular numbers will definitely be changed. So how we know ever matters of factor and offset values?

I am just a rookie on the ecu remapping and the question may seems a bit stupit. But anyway THANKS to anyone who helping me on this, this will be a huge assistance for me!!

Appreciate again:)

Bruce,

I hope you don't mind, but I've relocated this to the WinOLS section where those assisting with questions related to reverse engineering are looking out for this sort of inquiry and can best assist you.

Denso ECU has many versions and all work in slightly different ways. The Delphi can be difficult to understand as this contains a lot of 32-bit code. I suggest getting the hang of map and shape recognition using a MED or EDC file. Once you have done this for a while, marking maps in Denso will become easier. The factors and offset in Denso rely heavily on the logical number set.

Thanks for the replying James!
