hello

when i tune the fuel map i also put lambda feedback activation out of range so it will no run in closed loop. My idea behind this is that i will not get any fuel corrections from not have the correct lambda value that is close to the lambda target

i assume that the closed loop control also is doing corrections that will make my tuning of the fuel map harder to do?

is this correct and how do you people do this

after i have tuned the fuel map with so road tuning and logging i will do some correction to get it close to target as possible and then punt closed loop back on?

i see in some video's here in efi tuning course tuning of the fuel when there are also total fuel trim corr. of 5 -10%

regards, Johan

It depends on the ECU in use, some will take into account any fuel trims being applied when you correct that cell in the fuel map, whereas other will not.

Oke

I run Maxx ecu. Can not really find any info on it

I would turn closed loop off when tuning the fuel table. That just makes it easier to see when you are off from cell-to-cell, many times a good closed loop system makes it so you don't realize that a particular part of the table still needs some work.
