I am planning on checking P2V clearance on my 1JZ VVTI but to do this correctly the cams must be degreed correctly according to the cam specs, Todo this properly the crankshaft will be rotated to the specified timing and the play doe ontop of the piston would have already been squashed by the original cam gear adjustment
Is there a good way to go about this to get the most accurate reading? I know either way I will get the minimum clearance of either adjusted or non-adjusted cam gears and if this is within spec there will be no worry, Im also worried about rotating the crank multiple times and squashing the doe multiple times
