do you want to have your valve lash set at zero when adjusting the cam gears or do you want to have it set to the 006 and 008 lash?
It has to be zero lash for cam degreeing.
Different manufacturers/cam grinders will use different proceedures - it should be marked on the timing card, if not it should be found on their web site.
Zero lash can be almost impossible to get accurate, so just use 1 thou' if that's the method specified.
