Hi all,
Has anyone worked with these CANChecked expansion modules before? I recently orderded one to wire into the same CAN network as the M1 ECU and C125, in order to get more non-engine related inputs into the dash for logging - things like brake pressure etc. Figured the unit at $275 was cheaper than the I/O upgrade for the C125 and provided more analog inputs.
It would be awesome if there were some CAN profiles pre-written for the C125 for these units, does anyone know of any? Just thought I'd ask in case it saved me writing some. If not all good, I can make some and share here for others to benefit from.
I have used similar devices to add a few channels. It is not as convenient as the I/O enable options on the MoTeC, since you can't easily create a calibration table like you can for an internal input. Typically the Analog to CAN device only supplies the raw voltage.
Creating the CAN template should be easy since they supply a DBC file. It does look like you can create some kinds of sensors mapping on the DBC files as they actually supply a tool to create the DBC files with the sensor calibation calculated for simple linear or NTC-type sensors. Good Luck!
