Another a knock wire question

I”m curios, is it ok don”t make shielded wire for knock sensor on the full path from the sensor to an ECU? I want install a new flat knock sensor and I want route it in a stock engine harness. As I can see, the stock knock wire isn’t shielded on the ECU-side of the harness.

So, my plan is to make a shielded wire in the engine bay and route it to the one of stock connectors (also,in the engine bay) which has wire connected (and not used) to the ECU.
