Rather than measure lengths against the design doc after sheathing etc would it make sense to temporarily install the harness with branch points after it is tapped, but BEFORE sheathing, booting and pinning. The tapped branches should probably be temporarily reinforced with tie warp, or maybe you do taping branches after confirmation.
If you simply check against the documentation and the documentation has an error you are potentially going to have a tough time fixing any problems once the harness is fully built. Installing the harness with no sheathing and connectors should be pretty easy and IMO well worth the extra time as you will have solid confirmation that everything will fit while any errors are still relatively easy to fix.
