Discusión y preguntas relacionadas con el curso Cableado práctico de deportes de motor - Nivel Club
Im looking at the GR motorsport website and they have 2 different types of heatshrink available, Raychem SCL and Raychem ES. The ES is cheaper and looking at the datasheet it has a wider temperature range than SCL. Both are glue lined and rigid although SCL has alot more detail about what its resistant to. In what situations would you select ES over SCL.

SCL is better if the loom is going to be exposed to solvents, fuel and oil products due to the polyolefin liner compared to the adhesive liner in the ES that can break down with exposure. For general loom usage, both will do a good job of sealing and strain relieving splices and junctions, ES has a higher shrink rate and blends better looks wise with DR-25 as it has a matte finish, compared to SCL's gloss black finish.
