i am checking the above rod, one out of the 4 rods does not have the carrillo etched in the rod surface, it was a rod they bought to replace a damaged one out of the set. i was checking the big end bore and got 48.03, 48.01 and 47.98 respectively at 3 points on the rod. the bearings showed some signs of damage however the rod is scorched or anything. i will post some pics tom. i want to know 2 things
1. is there a generic carrillo replica rod that isnt stamped carrillo
2. does anyone know the deviation limits of the big end bore of this specific rod?

Often copied, but never duplicated. We laser engrave the Job number on the side of the cap, utilize CP- Carrillo fasteners, and laser our logo on the beam. If in doubt, call our office and we would be happy to help identify your connecting rod.
when building an engine using Carrillo rods i don't like to see more than .01mm deviation in a rod and will always resize rods if I have more than this
