Hi andre is it possible to reuse pistons that have suffered from det that are pitted and sandblasted slightly in a normal application. Otherwise seem ok i have my own thoughts but will see your comments
Sorry for the late reply. I guess it depends what you're expectations are from a rebuild. If it's a junker motor that you aren't expecting anything from then I guess you could. Personally I wouldn't but that's just me. The problem is that detonation can do more damage than you can see visually. It can tighten up the ring grooves and even deform the piston which may not be obvious to your naked eye.
