Has anyone undertaken the task? Is there a stand alone computer option that will work with porsche or do you need factory. Plan on transmission and transfer case being used to simplify
That's not an engine I'm personally familiar with but given its age I doubt it would be difficult to run it on most standalone ecus. However if you plan on also using the porsche automatic trans then that's going to be a much tougher task on a standalone so I'd be inclined to retain the porsche ECM and TCM.
Thanks Andre. Little ambitious on my part but have whole vehicle. Next challenge will be if the factory ECM is programmable.
