Hello from the Europe,
As we all love racing and why we are here, is good to show why i am here for.
Im currently going for 1991 DTM build what has already been development in years.
Im not going fast with it, because details matter and trying to make this right in the first place.
Ive been struggling abit with knowledge to build it because ive never done such a project before.
Im glad i found out there is HP academy what i believe will help me alot!
Why im doing this?
When i bought my Homologation model Omega Evo500, my thought was to go on track with it.
Then reality hits. - Its original one, what happens when i crash it?
Time to build race track purpose one.
Goal: 400HP Naturally aspirated engine with RAW feeling in the car.
- To make a car where driver matters not the car.
Purpose:
To compete in DTM historic races + BTCC in baltics.
About the car:
Welds and fabrications are done. Half rollcage is in.
Extra weight is already off (some brackets etcc).
Car is repainted from inside out.
Engine package is C40SE from irmscher. - This engine has 270hp from stock.
It already has Catcams in head, ported runners, lightweight flywheel.
Im here because im lacking of knowledge of wiring and engine building. - So every help is appreciated.
Anvar.
Is there a reason for the half cage? The factory car looks to have a full cage in it so I cannot see homologation of the full cage being an issue.
There is a reason(s).
Reason1: In my country there is allowed to drive legally on the street with half cage.
If full cage, you cant register it to the road legal.
Reason2:
In Latvia and Lietuva have racing classes what are meant to be for the "streetlegal" cars.
Streetlegal cars needs to have TÜV and insurance. -
That gives me a way great advance to compete with built car in street classes so there is more opportunity to be in the top spot.
