Hi everyone
Ive got a VW Transporter T4 2.5 petrol 5 Cylinder AVT engine with a manual gearbox . The ECU is a Siemens Simos3.5 5WP40082 07 and the ECU is not working . Ive tried to find another ECU but cant find one , tried all the VW Breakers and VW Forums but still no joy . So i want to make my own loom up and fit a aftermarket ECU.
My plan is to do the wiring loom course on here , then make my own loom up , then get an aftermarket ECU , but i dont know what ECU to get or I dont know where to get one , would preferably like to get an aftermarket ECU from the UK
What would be the best ECU to get for a 5 cylinder petrol ? and where from ?

There is probably so much more to consider with this job , like wire connections and plugs , wires , conduit , Im looking for a supplier that sell all these bits in the UK if poss . Thanks again
