Once a cobb stage tune has been installed can the map file be used and modified using hp tuners? or is it better to revert to stock and start fresh?
I'm fairly certain you cannot download a modified tune from Cobb once it's flashed on your ECM because they put an access lock on it (usually). I just ran into this on a '15 WRX, I tried to download the ROM with HPTuners and ECUFLash and ECUFlash basically gave me an error that "security key" was invalid. Most remote tuners will put a security lock on the ROM file, likely to protect their work and prevent liability issues.
