hey guys i was wondering if any one has made a trans controller for the a340 toyota gearbox i am looking at wiring in a link ecu but what i can gather the ecu controls the gearbox the car is a toyota soara sc400 v8
I'm not aware of a standalone controller but a common work around here is to piggyback t=your link ECU into the wiring to control the fuel and ignition, while leaving the factory ECU in place so the factory TCM still functions normally. This does require you to be a little careful with piggy backing some of the signals. Depending on your Link ECU you may be able to disable the pull up resistor on your AT inputs to share the ECT and IAT, or alternatively add your own dedicated sensors.
I've seen megasquirt being sold for just TCM cobtrol on diyautotune if it helps.
