Good day I have a 2009 328i Bmw I want to run a stand alone ECU on the car but the everything in the car relies on the CAN bus to function, is there anything I can do to keep the factory computer to control that part of the car while using the stand alone to control the engine?

there are stand-alone ecus on the market for this I would think, have you checked around?
piggybacking would be the last resort for most tuners
the issue is we already wired e a DTA stand alone on the car already the car runs and everything but stuff like the dash, ac and all those things don’t work because they rely on the CAN bus frequency. So that’s why I was wondering if there is a way to use the factory ECU to monitor those functions. Thanks for the feed back
