Hello everyone. Using HP tuner I am trying to tune in open loop. In "Closed loop enable" I have the "Coolant temp" set at 376 degrees.
Looking at the data log in the scanner I see numerals in LTFT... not zeros. Now in STFT there is all zeros.
In my understanding tuning is open loop LTFT and STFT should show zeros in all the cells.
Can't continue tuning unless LTFT is showing zeros if this is a issue.
Is this normal of LTFT in open loop? Data log below for reference.

After talking to another tuner I found out that the LTFT will be stored in the ECM and show in the scanner even in open loop. They apparently will not be added or removed while running in open loop but will skew the readings.... so reset the ECM. I had to reset the ECM to remove the LTFT memory. After that tuning in open loop the scanner now shows all zeros while data logging in open loop. Hope this helps in the future.
