I'm unable to get Fusion to behave as in the course examples. There's some very subtle changes in the latest version... and or some click steps folded into the recording that I'm not realizing.

Question 1: Can I change the layout in Fusion to that of an older version?

The course uses an older version. I think stuff is mostly the same but it's making it a bit tricky to follow along.

Question 2: Selecting a different working plane in sketch mode

I see how to change the working origin / plane when continuing in the sketch line tool. However, if I release that line (escape) and try to go back I cannot seem to figure out how to change the working plane. I can switch between plane views but not draw in a different plane. How does that work?

Video of some of my struggles below:

The course materials and concepts are extremely easy to follow. However, the tool itself is somewhat tricky for me. I'm spending at times an hour trying to figure out one very simple operation in the tool... Yet I can easily see what I need to do given what is shown in the course modules.

UPDATE QUESTION 2 (SOLVED): I have to ensure I have the line tool selected, not the view tool in order to select which plane the line will be drawn in.

QUESTION 3: I cannot get the points to correlate with what I'm seeing in the example. Specifically I'm trying to constrain the front a pillar member to the same height as the B-Pillar fillet (intersection of two members there). I cannot seem to recreate the step on my end which constrains the A-pillar member height to the bottom of the fillet or the top but not the center height.

Dang thanks really appreciate the screen capture. Didn't expect you'd to go to such lengths to help me out. It's really appreciated. I may have to set this course down for a little while. I'm having some difficulties following the subtle nuances to recreate the steps on my end. It's costing me more time than I'd anticipated.

Hey thanks Connor.

Your courses are fantastic I feel you did a good job building the course. I've learned TONS from your HP tutorials. I may finish up the other courses I got from you guys and circle back to this one.

I can get a ways into the tutorial, sometimes further than others. However, it depends on my precise interaction with the software as the subtle things I'm doing seem to change the behavior of the interface.

I really fault the software. I think if somebody doesn't have experience working with this then the learning curve is STEEP due to the the way they've implemented the user interface. I'd assume most 3D Cad packages would be similar. It seems to have a slightly different user interface implementation than anything I've worked with (other than solidworks 20+ years ago which I forgot). For instance, the scroll up I'd expect would zoom in, scroll down would zoom out. It's the other way around. I keep doing it the wrong was as it's not what I'm used to. When I hover over a button (icon) and click it to enable a function it doesn't highlight it's state until I move the mouse off the button (bad UI design IMO). This is adding up and making it a bit tricky to follow along. Your tutorials though make perfect sense, are very clear, and well presented.

Another minor trouble... I think it's locked me out? I'd think a right click on the lock icon or something to that effect but I'm not seeing any option to unlock. No need to spend a bunch of time helping me out. I'll come back to the course in a few weeks.
