Hi All,

new here and a old guy at 50 that's been playing with Drag Cars and 4 links etc for along as i can remember. Im old school and forever have drawn hit points etc on graph paper and worked out geometry, bar length, cam shaft centerlines, engine placement this way. Thought i would step up to the new world. Cant say computers are my thing. I breezed through first modules as it was engineering principles, but since then my heads spinning. I cant seem to replicate my screen to instructor. I cant get a timeline on my page and drawn the same exhaust bracket from screatch 50 times. I make a error and im back to start again. Im at my wits end. Any help or direction i would be so appreciative.

Hey Mate,

First thing for your timeline. Strange that the default settings are this way, but check out the screen recording I've attached to show how you would fix it:

- Essentially right click the component at the top of your browser, choose "capture design history"

Ignore my different colour display settings

Ok onto the exhaust bracket. Maybe you could attach a photo so I can see where you are going wrong?

I find it's usually just an "idea" that's being missed and once we find that it all clicks.

For the same reason I would say focus on what I'm trying to explain around constraints and fully constraining our sketch. Think about what the sketch needs to fully constrain it so features can't move (try dragging them around to see how they move).
