What can we do as a compromise for our AFR with modern fuel here in the USA, almost all of it contains "up to 10% Ethanol", you can never be 100% sure of the exact ratio of Ethanol to gasoline! I'd really like to know what you guys think, who have experience on this.
I tested the fuel in SE PA once and it came out to be E8. So, for my re-flash cars with CL NBO2's I set the AFR of stoich to 14.2 in the calibration and I let the LTFT's sort out any differences, which it can do with ease. For my next trick I'm installing a flex fuel sensor and look for E85.
I don't know what ECU you're running, but if you can just program it to use Lambda then you'll never have to worry about it.
I guess I would say don't get wrapped around the axle over the slight difference between E10 and E8.
