im using ktuner and my fueling is controlled by maf voltage and injector pulse width how would i be able to apply this to get fueling where i need it

Hi Joseph,

Typically the MAF sensor will with have a calibration curve supplied or derived from a spec sheet if you're using a common sensor. This will give you a mass flow rate vs. voltage graph eg. g/sec or kg/hour - something like that. We then know how much air the engine is flowing s we can calculate how much fuel we need to achieve the desired AFR.

Injector pulse width is the time the injector is on for (not taking deadtime and short pulse width into account) and we then need to calculate how much fuel the injector will flow for a given time using the injectors rated flow rate cc/min, lb/hour etc.

Ktuner may also have some base calibration data for injector flow rate and mass airflow or base maps in there to get you started, in which case you would tune the injector pulse with per load site to target a set AFR
