Scanner for motorcycle frames

I am looking to upgrade from phone scanning apps to a handheld 3D scanner for use on dirtbike and ATV frames. While the phone scans were decent for overall geometry and interference, I need something that will accurately scan the holes and mounting points on the frames for brackets, suspension points, and engine mounts, which the phone scans really struggled with.

Ideally, I would like to be able to pull these basic geometric features into Fusion so I can more accurately model my parts and their mounts. Will I need to step up to something like Peel and PeelCAD, or could one of the ~$1K "hobby" scanners meet my needs? I am quite confident with mesh sections in Fusion, but they are unreliable with the low-precision phone scans.

There are some good hobby scanners on the market now that will get you some awesome results. Maybe more "prosumer level" rather than hobbyist.

I'd recommend checking out the Einstar products, and the Revopoint Miraco. At HPA we have the original Einstar and an Einstar VEGA, and they're very impressive.

Peel.CAD only works with Peel Scans. But shining 3D has some software called EXmodel which i've found to be able to do most of the same jobs, albeit a little less user friendly - I still think it's very useful and it works with scans from any scanner.

I'm sure there are lots of other options for scanners and software that others could chime in with if they've had experience.
