Is it acceptable to use foiled cables (like the ones used on nmea 2000 and can bus networks) for cam/crank sensors and knock ?
Shields can be foil or braid. I would look carefully at the temperature rating of the insulation when choosing a shielded cable. The foil shield will normally have an uninsulated stranded wire that gives you a way to connect with the shield.
Wil take a look at the temp specs of the cable.
