Hi, how a car without iddle control (drag or circuit) works? It just has a iddle speed target when the car is hot? Depending if the block is welded?, and what about 4g63 OE stepper motor? Does it has other name? Because I didn't understand what that means, just heard that has a problem being OE? I saw iddle speed control webinar... Other question about a.f.r, the a.f.r must be 14.7 in iddle speed but depending abour the engine it will change? Or just is needed experience with popilar engines? Thanks in advance

Hi, how a car without idle control (drag or circuit) works?

Q: It just has an idle speed target when the car is hot? Depending on if the block is welded?

A: I will normally set the idle as low as I can get the rpm to be stable no matter what the type of engine. some I will run higher like dirt track race cars because they often spin-out

Q: what about 4g63 OE stepper motor? Does it have another name?

A: idle speed controller, Idle control valve, are two names I can think of

Q: Another question about a.f.r, the a.f.r must be 14.7 in idle speed but depending on the engine it will change?

A: It changes a lot there is no real set rule on what it should be but a standard type engine will normally be around this

A race engine with large cams can be totally different
