Discusión y preguntas relacionadas con el curso Fundamentos del cableado de deportes de motor
I just completed the EFI Wiring Fundamentals class. I have been in the electronics business since high school (retired now), and I still learned quite a bit from the class! Wanted to ask a question about the open barrel crimping lesson, in which it is stated to use a brass open barrel crimp connector. I have always used copper closed barrel connectors, perhaps becasue I have always used these for home wiring aplications, as they have always worked well for me, but also that copper is a better conductor than brass. Are there specific reason(s) to use brass versus copper, and should I always be using open barrel instead of closed for motorsport applications? I realize residential usually uses solid conductor wiring while motorsport uses stranded wiring, but still wanted to ask the question.
