I've been looking for bulk suppliers of GXL (or TXL) cable from places like AliExpress. Has anyone successfully ordered a few hundred/thousand meter’s direct from the Chinese manufacturers? Any got-ya's I need to keep an eye out for?
Context:
I have a heap of agricultural equipment I would like to re-wire with some heavier duty wire than the PVC wiring used by the manufacturer. I am leaning towards GXL as I don't really have a size or weight limit, just durability, and GXL is dimensionally similar to it's PVC equivalent.
Update: Due the the difficulty of finding a local supplier of GXL/TXL I am looking at just biting the bullet and using Tefzel (AS22759/16), for a higher temperature rating, and tinned copper conductors.
I have reached out to Cambridge Technologies to quote for supply for a few different colours of 16 gauge, and 12gauge.
