Hi everyone,

I am in the process of rebuilding my 97 DSM which drivetrain wise should be the same as the EVO 3 overseas. I'm currently at 400whp and am looking to get some bigger injectors to go e85 after this rebuild since all the other supporting mods are there. A lot of guys go to a coil on plug system but is this ideal in a waste spark system? I have no other outputs to change from a waste system as I'm on a modded stock ecu running ecmlink. Many guys struggle with coils having a short lifespan when switching from our stock ignition and I'm assuming it's due to the waste system over heating the coil packs. Either that or their just using an inferior coil pack (usually the Chrysler 300m coil packs). Opinions?

i've got a '98 GST with VAG coil setup controlled by MaxxECU.

I'm rebuilding the trigger system in the winter for full sequential so 1 tooth on cam and Billet 12-Tooth Crank Trigger Kit.

Default 4/2 trigger pattern but i cannot get sequential Ign to work. only injectors are sequential.

Current Setup is VAG coils and wasted spark setup. Works fine without Cover but overheats when the sparkplug cover is on.
