Hi, I'm new and have little experience. I bought a Honda EP3 for track use with a Ktuned engine wiring harness. The cockpit wiring is really bad, with randomly placed wires. Everything works, but I want to fix it. In the cockpit, I have a racing fuse box, a Honda Kprov2 that I'll replace with a V4, and a Dash 2 dashboard. I have two water temperature sensors on the car, one on the fan that goes to the control unit, and one on the thermostat that goes to Dash 2. Can I keep just one sensor for both? If so, which one? I also wanted to install an AEM steering wheel with buttons, but they're CAN-BUS-equipped. I wanted to connect them to turn on the ECU, fuel pump, cooling fan, lights, etc. Is that possible? How should I make the connections?
The sensor for the fan is a thermo switch and not an actual sensor so you can't substitute one for the other. I believe you can wire a relay to the Hondata and use that to trigger the fan but I don't thnk that's really achieving anything in terms of simplifying your wiring.
Because the thermostat sensor is connected to dash 2, the radiator sensor to the control unit. The sensors are the same. However, the control unit doesn't turn on the fan. The wiring is all correct. I had to make a separate switch. What do you recommend to simplify the wiring? I'll replace the control unit with a KPro v4 instead of v2 and connect dash 2 to the control unit via CAN.
