Hello.

Could you please tell me the wiring size for the coil and injectors?

The engine is a Ford Duratec 2.0L, and the coil is a passive type 4M5G-12A366-BC.

The injectors are ID1050-XDS.

I'm using ECU Master's EMU Black ECU.

I used 1.5sq=16AWG wiring for both, but it seems too big.

What is a realistic size?

I also considered the following plan, but would it be too small or too large?

For the power wires for each injector, I will take one 18AWG cable from the PMU and split it into four 20AWG cables along the way. I will also run a 20AWG low switch cable to the ECU.

For the power wires for each coil,I will take one 16AWG cable from the PMU and split it into four 20AWG cables along the way. I will also run a 28AWG low switch cable to the ECU.

What you describe is fine. I run a 2.0 Duratec (aka Mazda MZR). I use 22 awg wires for injectors, and 20 awg for the coils. I've been running that same harness in my race car since 2014.

Thank you for the information. So that size wire was sufficient. The EMU Black has a large terminal, so I thought I would need a thicker wire.

However, the MZR coil has a built-in amplifier, while the Duratec is a passive coil and only has two wires. I'm worried that this difference will change the size of the wire I need.

I have used the Duratec inductive coils (and an external ignitor) with another ECU. I never used thicker than 20 awg wires on that setup. Take a look at OEM wiring sometimes, you will be surprised at what thin wires they use.

And as you previously advised, I purchased the ID1050 adapter. It certainly works very stably even at idle. I think it's a good injector.
