Looking at McMaster, there are two types of Kapton tapes:
1. Acrylic adhesive, 0.0025" thick, -20°F to 350°F, 7000V
2. Silicone adhesive, 0.0025"/0.0035" thick, -40°F to 500°F, 6500V/10000V
For the same thickness (0.0025"), the silicone version is slightly cheaper, yet provide better temperature range.
Which version do you recommend, and why?
Apart of above options, what width do you recommend?

I think you'll find that the silicone adhesive kapton is more commonly used however there may be some situations (unlikely in motorsport wiring) where silicone can't be used and acrylic becomes the only option. The tape we use is 1/2" wide but that's not to say you MUST use 1/2".
