Building a 7MGTE engine I want to run Or be able to run 400-500 bhp reliably, any recommendations on internals (brand and material type ) or what people have used successfully. It’s for street use and it will be a twin turbo set up.
400-500 hp is not a big stretch for a 7MGTE provided you're fitting a suitably sized turbo. Any of the popular piston and rods will be more than adequate at that power level. The biggest weakness with the 7MGTE is the head gasket in stock form so I'd advise a quality MLS gasket and a set of head studs. I believe Cometic offer a gasket option for this engine.
