i.e. torque reserve at idle (i.e. not tuned at MBT), avoiding "big jumps in ignition timing" in the ramp up from idle to where the cam comes "on song" - i.e this is a compromise area were smoothness takes precedence over MBT, Extrapolating ignition timing in areas which cant be accessed on the dyno, opening throttle stop for big overlap cam idle and the implication for how timing get blended in the rest of the table etc etc etc etc etc
There is a lot of potential to do some interesting webinars.
