The stock ECU in an Evo8 or a 2G DSM controls the alternator via an ECU pin to regulate engine load at idle, WOT, etc. When folks install a standalone on these cars, or other cars that have similar alternator ECU control, do they retain that functionality? I'm working on setting up an Emtron for an Evo8.
