MAP sensors are usually rated up to 3 bar of boost pressure. how do we know the maximum boost to plot on our y-axis for our fuel table i.e. whether its up to 200kpa, 220kpa, or onwards up to 300kpa?
I would always use the maximum the sensor could provide, unless I was sure of the behavior of the ECU when the value was outside of the table limit. Some ECUs will extrapolate based on the last two cells, and some will just maintain the last value. Which may or may not be what you want.
Generally you would have some idea of what boost level you intend to support.
You can get pressure sensors (to measure MAP) much larger than 3 bar.
