So I have a 2020 duramax that's deleted and tuned. I notice the fan is on more than usual when I accelerate sounds like a plane taking off. My question is how would I start to edit this tune. I assum that I can't edit this tune because I got it from ho tuners and I'm locked out of the file cause it ain't mine.
That's correct, the tune cannot be edited unless you're sent an unlocked copy.
Nick
So other than that another way is to edit the stock tune?
That is always an option, yes.
Hope I aint asking for to much but I have a 2020 duramax deleted and tuned but I'm having some issues with the fan running more than it should sounds light a plane when the fan is on at 1300 rpms and more. What do I need to edit for to start with for the dpf and egr delete. I finished your corse but I need a better understanding on where to start with the egr and def delete. As far as starting from scratch with the stock tune and editing it.
Jarrett,
I'm sorry man, deleting is simply not part of the course. I'm not willing to take on that kind of risk.
Nick
Okay thank you. I've learned alot from the course.
I'm glad to hear it. Don't be a stranger here. Happy to help on tuning topics unrelated to Deletes.
PS. I think your fan issue may be related to system segment of the tune being a mismatch for the diagnostic segment. Basically someone used the wrong O.S. for the file on your truck or hybridized it to fit in a way that uses to incompatible segments.
Hope this helps,
-Nick
