I currently have an access port paired to my factory FORd 18' ST 's ECU
I used it to reflash a stage 2 cobb accesport map.
Can I begin using the HP tuners obd2 port and software without having to revert to back to the factory ecu data when I unpair the accessport?
-OR-
can I begin by using HP tuners on top of the previously reflashed ecu, without unpairing the accessport?
The reason being I would like to at least use my cars current tune as it as a starting point to began with hp tunesrs
Is this an option or will I have to unpair the cobb access port back and reinstall the factory ECU data ??
Nothing in HP Tuners will stop you from trying to read the existing ECU/PCM contents. Why don't you give that a try to see if it's possible.

Basically you will have to revert to your stock tune when you unpair the Cobb accessport no alternatives. Although you could change the stock map upon installing the accessport but , not worth it stock is fine.
I'm trying to do something similar with my 2018 Ecoboost Mustang. I am also currently running a Cobb ots tune.
How did switching from Cobb to HPtuner work out for you?
