Hi guys,
I'm just getting started in trying to tune my own car for the first time and before I do anything to the ECU, I want to know what software should I use for a Toyota Auris 2009, 1.4 D4D ND-TV engine. I tried searching some but it seems that no software supports this particulate model.

I've not seen something for this application, but hopefully someone has!
not sure about your application but I just purchased vf tuner which is mostly toyota facing software, it is a newer product so doesnt support everything but seems like their working on expanding support. as a note I havent used it yet so cant speak to its quality or capability but you might look into it.
These use bosch edc17cp07 controller. You can read/write these on bench with many hardware. Cmdflash, ktag, etc. Modify maps with winols.
