00:00 - Motorsports Delight has asked what exactly is that kevlar lace stuff used to wrap each layer of wires? It is exactly what you just said, it's called kevlar lacing cord.
00:11 And it's designed essentially just to help us hold the harness together.
00:15 I don't have a roll of it here that I can easily show you but essentially it's pretty clear in our little harness there, I'll just get this back under our overhead and the nice thing with a kevlar lacing cord is it is very very strong for a start and it also provides a minimal cross sectional area so it's actually very thin so while, I mean I'm being picky here but the aesthetics of our finished harness are still important and what you can see here is that it doesn't leave a big unsightly lump underneath the DR25 when the DR25 is recovered down.
00:47 So basically the list of suppliers and materials that we're sending out has the information around that but basically anyone who deals with motorsport wiring supplies will be able to provide you with kevlar lacing cord.
01:02 Racespeconline.com and milspecwiring.com are just two that jump to mind there.
