I watched one of the Webinars by Andre regarding fuel system, and one of the considerations was choosing the correct size FPR for the application. For example I had a FPR 800 from turbosmart on my Subaru and one of my tuner recommended FPR 600. So My question is how would you go about choosing correct FPR.

It should be able to flow the volume of fuel the pump will be providing given the size and diameter of the lines going in and out and the flow rate of the pump. Idle typically is the time when the regulator will be bypassing the most fuel, so that's often where an undersized regulator can cause over-pressure by not being able to bypass enough fuel. I'm not sure how detrimental it would be to go larger than necessary on a regulator unless there is some type of space limitation. It also would depends somewhat on where in the fuel system you mounted the regulator - in line between the pump and the fuel rail (like in a dead-head setup), or after the fuel rail (like in a flow through - more traditional setup).
