Not sure if they're addressed directly, as part of the theory, but I do recall cylinder pressure cycles being part of some tutorials. If you don't find what you need, I expect there are some other good on-line tutorials if you need them. It's something we went into at high-school, but that was a long time ago, and sometime later at college - but, again, quite some time ago.
It's indirectly addressed with the discussions about setting the timing for best torque/power which, provided the engine doesn't have detonation/pre-ignition issues first, is basically BMEP for the engine.
