Hi

I need help from anyone familiar with TunerStudio & Barra engines.

I have a 2014 BA XR6 Barra engine installed in a BMW E34 Drift car, with a MegaSquart MS3X357-C, with an extension board installed, and TunerStudio MS v3.2.05 (MS3 1.6.1 release). I have control of Fuel, Ignition but having trouble controlling inlet & Exhaust

Cam’s.

Out of frustration, I changed the stock VR cam sensors, to "ZF/Cherry GS10010-series Hall sensor (3-wire)", attached Pullups, 1 kΩ at 5 V resister installed for both cams, On MS3X board, JP7 & JP8 jumpers removed. R11 3 turns CW & R32 Zero turn. The Tooth logger looks fine to me and so does the composite logger which apparently only log’s one cam sensor at a time, “intake in my case”. I swopped the sensor leads around and checked the exhaust sensor log which looked identical to the intake log. I’m still having problems, the EX is over & under shooting the target, I’ve tried all combinations of No’s in PID to make it steady without success, Hold/Neutral Duty makes it worse. Also varied the min / max VVT Duty% keeping it narrow seems best. The intake side has little to no response, I’ve check & recheck wiring and settings in T.S. but all looks correct to me.

I have attached an msq & csv log to look at if that's possible.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated, Cheers, Mark.
