im such a OCD type person, would i be more of an effective tuner if i did my VE formula before each tune? because it would make sense for me to do this logically, i would understand the limits in a sense if i knew how much air i was working with to begin with right?
Sure, but it's pretty easy to determine VE using a steady-state dyno and a wideband lambda. You don't even need a starting VE table. Just put 50 - 80% everywhere and tune it.
